RADIO
During my time at Birmingham City University, I have completed various radio modules such as Commercial Production, Live Radio, Radio Documentaries, Music Programming, and Radio Station.
In all areas of production work I have accomplished media products that I am proud of, and having received feedback from lecturers and my peers I am able to see how I can develop my skills further.
COMMERCIALS
Here is a range of radio commercials I have produced. In order to create them, I had to abide by a brief and ensure all requirements had been met. I thoroughly enjoyed this process and feel as though the commercials display my creativity.
DOCUMENTARIES
Here are some radio documentaries I have created. The 'Depression' documentary was for a group assignment. I am fond of creating a story throughout documentaries and particularly enjoy determining which part of an interview will beneficial and help tell the story.
SHOWS
During the Music Programming module, for part of my assignment, I had to plan, record and present a one-hour specialist programme. I decided to include love songs and demonstrated my knowledge and passion for the music. The show was called "All The Feels". I felt confident in recording the show as I was able to practice regularly.
For the Radio Station module, we worked as a team to create FADE Radio, a pop-up dance station in Birmingham. My role for the assignment was Daytime Producer and Daytime Presenter alongside Michael Luton. I was motivated to find content for our shows that would be of interest to our target audience. I enjoyed presenting but feel as though there is a lot of room for improvement. Overall, I loved being a part of our radio station and am very proud of how we came together as a team to make it successful.
